About

I am a sound designer, artist and composer working in cinema, games and interaction design based in Sheffield, United Kingdom.

In 2018 I completed my PhD  in Arts and Computational Technologies at Goldsmiths, supervised by Atau Tanaka and Julian Henriques. During 2012-2015 my research was conducted as part of the MetaGestureMusic project, funded by an European Research Council (ERC) grant, and as a member of EAVI (Embodied AudioVisual Interaction) group at Goldsmiths, researching listening experience and embodied sonic interactions mediated by digital technology.

I lead workshops in Sonic Interaction Design, which have been taken to IRCAM (Paris), Parsons (New York) and ZHdK (Zurich). I delivered workshops in DIY electronics across the north of the UK, and gave workshops in participatory sound design for e-textile interfaces in KHB (Berlin) and KHiB (Bergen) with Berit Greinke.

As a sound artist, my works and performances have been shown at Biennale of Art in Marrakech, Invisible Architectures (Newcastle Upon Tyne), Royal College of Art London, Goldsmiths (University of London), Papey Listskjul (Orkney, Scotland) Alchemy Film and Moving Image Festival (Hawick, Scotland).

As a freelance sound designer, I offer professional services and consultancy for sonic interaction design, digital media and cinema productions.

I am also half of the music duo Garlic Hug
